It has long been recognised that the incoming mains supply can have an adverse effect on sound quality of even the most basic HI-FI systems, this effect is easily understood when you consider that when listening to reproduced music you are also listening to several power supplies used to power the equipment and ultimately the mains used to power them.

As these power supplies are connected to the mains power supply they are also connected to numerous other pieces of mains equipment many of which back feed noise and interference (pollution) onto the mains supply

This is not a problem if the power supply within the audio equipment provides total isolation from mains pollution but that is not the case using conventional power supply technology. Even on the very best power supplies using sophisticated filters and multiple regulators to reduce the effects of mains pollution there still exists a direct conduction path by which mains pollution can contaminate the DC power supply and the delicate low-level music signals.

This always results in less than ideal sound quality.

Representing the first major advance in power supply design in over 20 years, the new Never-Connected power supply takes a completely different approach.

By ensuring the load is Never-Connected directly to the incoming mains supply, Never-Connected totally breaks the conduction path for mains Pollution, preventing contamination of the music with unwanted noise and interference.

Subjectively this results in substantial and consistent improvement in sound quality over all supply types irrespective of cost or complexity this effect increases as more of the system is powered using Never-Connected technology (click here for reviews).

Other benefits of the Never-Connected supply include total reverse isolation eliminating crosstalk between supplies, and the requirement for costly multiple transformers commonly used to reduce crosstalk.
